Kambry Smithson
Third Grade Teacher
Growing up I always loved going to school, and I still do! One reason was that I had my twin brother, who is also my best friend, by my side in every class. I also loved the excitement of learning new things and challenging myself to grow. School was a place that felt fun, engaging, and inspiring. Along the way, I was fortunate to have wonderful teachers who helped nurture my love of learning. Those experiences inspired my dream of becoming an elementary teacher, and I am excited to continue living out that dream at Lincoln Academy.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Utah Valley University in 2024 and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2026. While at UVU, I had the opportunity to teach in various classrooms across Utah County. After graduating, I taught physical education in the Alpine School District. I loved helping students further develop their talents in various activities, sports, and games.
I believe every child deserves to feel valued, loved, and supported, and that each one has the potential to learn, grow, and thrive. I work each day to have a classroom where students feel safe, receive encouragement, and are inspired to reach their fullest potential. By fostering a positive and inclusive environment with high expectations, I aim to help students develop not just academically but also excel in attitude and behavior. I believe that together, we can achieve greatness, one step at a time. I enjoy living in such a beautiful area surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues. I love to spend time outside camping, trail running, fishing, hiking, and playing sports. A few other of my favorite things are fresh flowers, fresh cut grass (and mowing the lawn),
ice cream, fresca, and Ghirardelli chocolate (my favorite favorite is the sea salt caramel dark chocolate one). My husband and I love going on sunset walks, playing volleyball together, and hanging out with family.
