Welcome back to Lincoln at a Glance! We hope you all had a great week with this long-awaited winter weather. There is nothing better than rushing out the door and realizing you need to scrape your windshield in the dark and chilly weather. That’s enough small talk about the weather, let’s get into this week! Science fans, buckle your seatbelts because we have our science fair this Thursday at the school! Come see our little scientists and their marvelous contraptions.
But that’s not all, folks. Read on to learn more about this action-packed week!

Science Fair
Parents, please let your students know that their science fair is this Thusday, December 7th! Have them speak to their teachers about planning their project!
This is for students only, unless you want to be a judge, then we desperately need you! Please sign up HERE!
JH Winter Dance
The Junior High winter dance is coming up on December 15th! Join us from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Remember to wear your Sunday best!
Talent Show Auditions
Lincoln Academy’s talent show is right around the corner! Kindergarten through 9th grade are encouraged to audition. Limited spots are available as the stars will be performing in front of their peers on January 11th! Auditions will be on a first come, first serve basis, so there is no need to sign up beforehand.
Please limit all talents to a maximum of 2 minutes or less. There will be no alternate auditions days or times. Please see important dates below. We can’t wait to see Lincoln’s stars shine!

Selection Notification:
- Wednesday, December 20th
Talent Show:
- Thursday, January 11th

Donate to our Fitness for Life Program (PE)
Our fitness for life program would like to add additional workouts into our PE curriculum to provide a greater variety for our students. Therefore, we would like to to add the peg board and the hex trap bar to our daily workouts.
There is a tremendous amount of research that support the importance of exercise for adolescence.
It has a great impact on optimizing their mind-set, improving alertness, attention, and motivation. Our students are dedicated and hard working individuals who try their best to increase their health.
