Fifth Grade[930]

Growing up, I didn’t originally plan on becoming a teacher. That changed during my time working as a teacher’s assistant at Lincoln Academy. Over the past six years, I’ve worked closely with students, supported teachers, and experienced many meaningful moments in the classroom. During this time, I discovered how much I love helping students grow and knew this was exactly where I was meant to be.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Governors University and completed my student teaching here in a fourth-grade classroom. I am excited to continue my journey at Lincoln Academy. My experience as a teacher’s assistant has allowed me to work with students of all abilities, provide small group and individual support, and learn from incredible educators—all of which have shaped my approach to teaching.

I love creating a classroom environment where students feel excited to learn each day. My goal is to build a space where students feel safe, supported, and confident in who they are. I believe students learn best in a structured, engaging environment with clear expectations, consistent routines, and meaningful feedback. I also incorporate interactive and multisensory learning experiences to keep students actively involved and motivated.

Building strong relationships with students and families is very important to me. I want every student to feel known, valued, and encouraged, and I believe that when students feel supported, they are more willing to take on challenges and grow.

Lincoln Academy already feels like home to me, and I am excited to continue growing here as a teacher and making a meaningful impact in my classroom.

When I’m not at school, I love spending time outdoors, especially paddle boarding and being out on the water. I enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.
