First Grade
Thave always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl. Well… that dream finally came true as I am finishing up my third year of teaching 1st grade at Lincoln Academy. I absolutely love working here at Lincoln Academy. The staff members have become like family to me. I love how everyone knows your name at this school and that no one goes unseen. I love working with the younger kids, their tender hearts and their thirst for learning makes this job THE BEST JOB EVER! I love every minute of my job here at Lincoln Academy.
I struggled with ADHD growing up and had to learn how to work hard to be able to
learn a
ABd row. It was all that hard work | put into my education that made me fall in love with it. I love to see when children finally understand something that they struggled with before. It is so rewarding to see them excited about their own growth and see them falling in love with their own education.
Being a teacher is one of the most rewarding jobs out there. I strongly believe every child is capable of amazing things. Each child learns differently, and I love finding the right path of learning for each individual child. I love to learn and have fun while doing it.
I grew up in Sandy, ut, and have lived close by ever since. My husband and I have 4 wonderful kids together. I love spending time with my kids as often as I can. We love to go the movies, play at the park, go on bike rides, visit museums, do science experiments, and many other things.
I graduated with my associate degree in early childhood development and my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem Ut. I was previously a teacher at Learning Dynamics for 4 years. I have also been a substitute teacher for the Jordan School District. I decided to come teach at Lincoln Academy not just because I fell in love with the location, but also, I started researching about it and found out amazing things that this school has to offer. The staff at this school is amazing. Everyone is kind, loving, and always looking for ways to help each other.
