Change is the only constant in life, and I have fully embraced it. My husband, Steve, and I are enjoying our time as empty nesters. In just a year, so much has changed!

Family keeps me busy as a proud grandmother to three adorable little boys—Calan, Lance, and Ronan—who live just across the lake in Eagle Mountain with my oldest daughter, Peyton, and her husband, Cameron. My second daughter, Haylie, recently moved from Alabama to Seattle and is loving the Pacific Northwest. Kinsey, my youngest daughter, and her husband, Nicholas, live in Mesa, Arizona, where Kinsey works as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. My only son, Garrett, and his wife, Tianna, are in Provo, where Garrett is attending BYU Law School. They are expecting grandson number four!

Next year, I am excited to return to teaching Language Arts at Lincoln. Middle school is an exciting time; students are eager, capable, and ready to take on new challenges. I believe every student can learn and achieve anything—the sky’s the limit, even though progress may look different for each individual. By supporting one another and using our unique talents, we can all succeed.

When students discover the value of hard work and find joy in their efforts, they experience true growth. Mistakes are not failures—they are powerful learning tools. I love witnessing those “AHA!” moments when understanding finally clicks. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and meaningful for all 6th graders at Lincoln Academy!
