I have wanted to be a teacher since I was five years old. I remember watching my kindergarten teacher and thinking how amazing it would be to create that same kind of warm, welcoming classroom for my own students someday. I was lucky to have so many wonderful teachers growing up, and they inspired my love of learning and helped shape the teacher I hope to be.
My family’s connection to Lincoln Academy makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me. My children have attended Lincoln Academy and absolutely loved their experience here. I’ve been able to see firsthand the caring community and dedication to students that make this school so special. I also spent two years working as a Teacher Assistant, where I loved supporting students and helping them grow.
I look forward to creating a classroom where students feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. I hope to help my first grade students build confidence, ask questions, and discover a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their education. Building strong relationships with students and their families is also very important to me, and I can’t wait to get to know each child and help them have a successful year.
When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my husband and three kids, watching 90s sitcoms, and reading every book I can get my hands on. You can also usually find me with a Diet Coke in hand, peanut butter M&M’s nearby, and enjoying a good burger and fries whenever I can.
