Regan Batten
My name is Regan Batten and this is my third year at Lincoln Academy. I’ve been married for 7 years to the love of my life, Luke, who I’m obsessed with, and we have two adorable cats named Ladybug and Tadpole! I’m an avid reader, I love to craft, decorate, and do anything creative. This year I’m also trying my hand at gardening.
I have loved teaching at Lincoln Academy and am excited for everything next year will bring. This past year, I have made an effort to learn every student’s name that I teach. It’s been so fun to get to know everyone on a personal level like this, and I’m looking forward to getting to know the students better this coming school year. This year we’ll be preparing for the following performances: the Christmas Music Assembly, the Spring Music and Art Show, and Choir Concerts for 6th grade!
My personal philosophy with teaching is that every part of music can be made fun, and I’m excited for us to create musical ideas, perform using our voices and instruments, learn about different composers every month, and connect with other cultures through their music! My mission is to foster a creative, exciting, enjoyable, loving, and safe environment for all of my students. I believe that this will help them get the most out of my lessons; that they’ll be able to learn and grow, feel welcomed, happy, and most importantly have fun!
