Parent Teacher Conference – A Day To Fear Or Rejoice?

Welcome back to Lincoln at a Glance! If you didn’t notice, parent-teacher conferences are coming up, and if you didn’t sign up, now’s the time! If you don’t have a student to sign up, what are you doing here reading this? Throughout history, no day has been so equally feared or looked forward to as the day you must sit with your teacher and your parent. It is the day all students must taste the fruit of their labor, good or bad. If your student is INSISTING that you don’t go to the conference, this is a sign that you indeed SHOULD GO!

There is lots happening besides parent-teacher conferences, so make sure you read below!

Choose Kindness Month!

We are so excited for CHOOSE KINDNESS MONTH 2024. The entire month of FEBRUARY has been proclaimed as a month of Kindness by Pleasant Grove Mayor Fugal. This is the 5th annual Choose Kindness Month where we will spend the month spreading intentional acts of Kindness through our schools, businesses, families, and our entire city. See the attached calendar for ideas of how YOU can CHOOSE KINDNESS all month long!

IN ADDITION TO THE LINCOLN BIRTHDAY, THERE IS ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE:

We are also participating in a city wide KINDNESS PROJECT collecting items for KINDNESS COMFORT KITS for children in hospitals. We are collecting crayons, coloring books, colored pencils and 1 ½ yards of fleece to make blankets. Your student can drop off any of these supplies in the box in the front office now through February 23, 2024.

Join the entire community on Saturday February 24 from 10-11:30 a.m. for a city wide SERVICE PROJECT putting these KINDNESS COMFORT KITS together. This event will be held at the PG REC CENTER.

Our STUDENT COUNCIL is invited to join the KINDNESS MONTH KICK OFF MEETING AND SERVICE PROJECT on THURSDAY FEB 1 at the PG REC CENTER from 4:30-5:30 pm

Thank you for all your support and your volunteer hours always help us make these experiences possible and we can’t do it without your help. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can Venmo at: @Brittany-Jones-246. We will have a donation box by the front office where you can drop off your items. Please have all items dropped off to the school by Friday, February 23rd.
