Karlee Peterson

Junior High Teacher

I graduated from Utah Valley University in May of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. I specifically chose this particular degree because of my own personal experience in my K-12 years of school. I was born legally blind. Because of my own unique understanding of education, I have a strong commitment in helping my students feel valued, successful, and confident. I believe every student deserves to be successful! I love to make learning fun and engaging, while also striving to create a classroom environment that is positive and welcoming.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my dog Ernest and rock climbing…I recently received certification in lead climbing! Hiking, camping, and exploring new places are at the top of my summer must “do’s”! I have seven nieces and nephews who I love deeply. Spending time with them, watching them learn, grow, and do hard things, is magical! Being an aunt is one of my greatest joys.

I am grateful to be a contributing member of Lincoln Academy’s Special Education team! I look forward to working with your students.
