Sixth Grade

I am excited to be back at Lincoln Academy this year! This will be my 7th year teaching 6th grade science and math.
I have always wanted to be a teacher even from a young age.
I graduated from Utah Valley University in 2009 and afterwards had the privilege of teaching English in Taiwan for year. I then worked at a middle school for at risk youth before taking a 5th grade position in Roosevelt, Utah. These experiences helped me grow as a teacher and reaffirmed how important education is in today’s world. I truly want to be a teacher that creates a classroom environment that not only encourages learning but also inspires my students to challenge themselves and expand their minds.
When not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and our 3 kids. We are looking forward to welcoming another little one to our family this October. Some of our favorite things to do together include going to the zoo and museums, camping, and fishing! In my spare time I also enjoy reading, hiking, and watching old movies.
