Auditions for 6th to 9th graders only

If unable to attend an audition time, you may send a video submission to drama@lincoln-academy.org by 11:59PM Tuesday, August 16th.  

Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held from 9AM-12PM on Saturday, August 20th. You must attend your callback in person to be considered. There is a $150 participation fee if cast.  

HOW TO PREPARE:

1. Sign up for an audition time

2. Fill out this form 

3. Watch this video with your parents/guardians.  Watch NOW!

4. Research the show – ideally by watching the movie that the show is based on (Madagascar) and listening to the songs in the show (can be found on YouTube here). You can also google the show for the synopsis!

5. Prepare a memorized 16 bar (or 30 second) cut (aka section) of an upbeat musical theater song in the style of the show. Practice along with a karaoke/minus track. No a capella auditions!

6. Memorize and prepare either one of these two monologues, or bring a monologue that you’ve already prepared!

7. Come to your audition prepared to have fun and show us the fruits of your hard work! Don’t forget a device to play the minus track for your vocal cut. We have a bluetooth speaker for you to connect to. You will sing your 16 bar cut and perform your monologue for your audition.
